Our Special In-Person Event — Tranquil Connections: A Benefit in Support of Toronto Daily Bread Food Bank & APEC After School Program
TORONTO, CANADA, April 12th — Thank you everyone who joined us for our special in-person event, Tranquil Connections, and for making it an uplifting, moving and empowering experience through your presence, and for participating in co-creating this inspiring evening!
This benefit event was inspired by the questions “What if the barriers we face could be eliminated by a moment of deep connection? What if transformation was not just an individual journey, but a collective act of love?”
Music has the power to transcend borders, dismantle oppression, and lift the human spirit beyond adversity. When we come together—in song, in movement, in purpose—we don’t just witness change. We become it.
This sparked an unforgettable evening, Tranquil Connections, where the rhythm of resilience met the harmony of hope. This was more than just a one-time event—it’s part of a movement. A movement to empower children, uplift marginalized communities, and break cycles of injustice.
This special fundraiser accomplished this goal through supporting the Love Peace Harmony Foundation’s initiatives, specifically the APEC Afterschool Care program in Atlanta, Georgia, and the Daily Bread Food Bank in Toronto. Tickets were by donation, and all donations received from participants directly supported children facing systemic inequities, providing them with nourishment, education, and opportunities to build a future where they can thrive.
Through awakening performances, thought-provoking discussions, and immersive artistic experiences, together we honored the strength of those who have overcome immense challenges—and stood together in love, peace, and harmony.
This evening is a drop in an ocean, that sends out a ripple effect with a powerful message: Your presence matters. Your contribution creates change.
Together, we rise.
We opened with a moving soul-song sound bath led by Vanessa Ferraro which took us deeper in tranquility and set the tone for the evening.
We connected over an important conversation in our panel "Breaking Limits, Building Futures: Music, Justice & Community" with our artists LeWolf, Jordan Hamilton and Jae Cabrera, facilitated by Love Peace Harmony Executive Director Alexia Cito.
Jae kicked off the music performances by giving us a surprise music set, and set the stage for what was to come. Jordan Hamilton then took us on a beautiful journey with his cello, harmoniously weaving together classical with deep introspective spoken-word, rap and hip-hop influenced melodies.
Then, The Ancient Youth brought us deeper with a soulful performance that was simply ethereal, captivating, transportive and deeply moving, debuting their latest song "I Am Whole", performing it for the very first time in public!
The evening kicked into high-gear with LeWolf's energetic and irresistibly danceable DJ set with Philipu Buyi guiding participants in a movement based community connection on the dance floor, where we danced the night away!
Thank you again to everyone who joined us, for coming together with us and making the difference in the lives of those we have raised funds for at Toronto Daily Bread Food Bank and APEC Afterschool Care program.
If you feel called to contribute to the difference we are making, we would be so grateful for your donation of any amount. Please feel free to share with your communities and networks. We all have the opportunity to make the difference needed in the lives of others.
